In situ enhancement of treatment scale: an underground sewage treatment plant in Haidian, Beijing

  Application background:  

Beijing Haidian underground sewage treatment plant scale of 80,000 m³/d. The original design of the secondary sedimentation tank is too small, resulting in the sewage treatment plant can not run at full capacity.

  Solution:  

NFSSS nano-flocculant was added into the distribution channel of secondary sedimentation tank to strengthen the separation speed of mud and water, increase the load of secondary sedimentation tank, and then increase the treatment scale in situ to reach or even exceed the design scale.

  Effect display:  

After adding NFSSS flocculant, the water intake increased from 33,000 m³/d of single series to 50,000 m³/d, and the processing capacity increased by 1.5 times. The effluent from the secondary sedimentation tank is clarified, and the effluent continues to reach the standard.
